This Privacy Policy applies to the PowerSentrix Android application
(„the App“). The App is intended for local Bluetooth LE management,
monitoring, and configuration of compatible PowerSentrix UPS
controllers.
Data Collection
The App does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data with third
parties. The App does not send UPS telemetry, Bluetooth scan results,
device location, login credentials, or configuration data to a
PowerSentrix server.
Local Data Stored on the Device
The App may store the following data locally on your Android device:
- App settings and preferences.
- UPS login credentials entered by the user.
- Temporary Bluetooth connection state while the App is running.
This data is used only to operate the App and connect to the selected
UPS controller. Depending on your Android and Google account settings,
locally stored app data may be included in Android system backup or
device transfer features.
Bluetooth and Location Permissions
The App uses Bluetooth permissions to scan for and connect to compatible
PowerSentrix UPS controllers over Bluetooth LE.
On some Android versions, Bluetooth LE scanning requires location
permission. The App requests this permission only so Android will allow
nearby BLE device scanning. The App does not access GPS coordinates,
does not determine your physical location, and does not transmit
location data.
Notifications and Foreground Service
The App may use notification and foreground service permissions to keep
an active Bluetooth connection visible and manageable while the App is
running in the background.
Internet Access
The App may include internet permission for app update related features
or links opened by the user. The core UPS management functions are
performed locally over Bluetooth LE.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for professional and technical use with UPS
equipment. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect
personal data from children.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored by the App remains on your device until you change it,
clear the App data, uninstall the App, or remove it through Android
system settings.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App changes. The effective
date at the top of this page indicates the latest version.
